Abstract: Western China is an important barrier to maintain the national ecological security. Since the implementation of the Western Development Strategy for more than 20 years, a series of major ecological construction projects have made important changes in the ecological situation and ecological services in the western region. The exploration of the ecological stability pattern in the western region is of great significance to the macro ecological land management. This article analyzes the spatiotemporal dynamic changes of the ecological land stability index in the western region from 2000 to 2020 based on remote sensing monitoring data of land use/land cover. The results show that: (1) The total ecological land use in the western region decreased by 2104.66 from 2000 to 2010 × 104 hm2- Area reduction by 38.98 in 2020 × The ecological land area showed a continuous decreasing trend from 104 hectares to 2020. The spatial distribution of stable ecological land during the two periods did not show significant changes, with grasslands and forests being the main areas. (2) The overall ecological land stability index of the western region in 2000-2010 and 2010-2020 was 47.12% and 52.72% respectively. The ecological stability index of 2000-2020 was significantly clustered. The ecological land stability pattern was dominated by high Ghetto and low Ghetto. The area in the early stage accounted for 48.17%, and the area in the later stage accounted for 46.78%. The area of high high Ghetto and high low Outlier increased, and the area of low low Ghetto The low high Outlier area shows a downward trend. (3) The total area of the cold spot area has decreased by 820 × 104 hm2, the total area of hot spots has increased by 206 × 104 hm2 indicates that while the ecological stability index in the western region is slowly improving, the agglomeration effect of stable ecological land has also improved. |
